Safety tips

A good ride starts with responsible driving.

• Respect speed limits, especially in villages and near residences.
• Wear clothing appropriate for cold weather.
• Keep your snowmobile in good condition.
• Respect laws, signage, and surveillance officers.
• Modified mufflers are prohibited.
• Stay on marked trails.
• Never cross a body of water that is not officially open and marked.

Hand Signals

• Stop: Left arm vertical, open hand.
• Slow down: Left arm angled downwards.
• Right turn: Left arm at shoulder, elbow bent.
• Left turn: Left arm extended horizontally.
• Last snowmobile: Closed fist at shoulder.

A signal requires removing your hand from the handlebars and brake. Use it only when conditions allow you to do so safely.
